First of all, I am sending my love and thoughts and prayers to Ickle Donna, who is having surgery today.....  {{{{{D}}}}}  Heal fast girlie!

W00T!!!!!!  I'm out of cast and on the mend.....finally!  I'm such an impatient patient, aren't I (giggle)? I can now type a little with my right hand, although using the muscles is still really painful.  BUT, I am working hard to get back to my miniatures.

My mini's have become such a passion for me.  Emotional therapy, too.  With them I can tuck my head down and focus on tiny details, shutting out all the daily noise and stress...kind of like a mini vacation, hahahahaha!!!  Anyway, I am already planning what to make next.  The evening before my surgery, I was so nervous that I made up a bunch of raw (still soft, unbaked clay) pie crusts and pizza crusts.  I need to get them finished. Oh, yes, I found a neat trick for making pie pans, but you'll just have to wait for the details.....Haven't put the idea into practice just yet, but that is forthcoming soon!  I'll post it in Icklebits if it works out well!

My MIL-to-be surprised me with some goodies!!!!  She and her sister went to her favorite Mini shop (somewhere in Atlanta, will post name when I can remember) and bought me a gorgeous buffet table and several different mini print fabrics!  Ooh, they are so pretty!  Two of them are shimmery, almost a soft metallic.  These would look great as seat cushions on dining chairs or as the fabric on a formal sofa...  As I do not know HOW to reupholster formal sofas, I think at least one of them will become an elegant bed spread and curtains....hmmmmmm.  There are three others, one of which is a soft green with stripes and hearts.  This one I will be using to make a sofa...  Here is the link for the tute! Okay, hand is hurting from typing so much, so one last bit of news.  fairly soon (meaning I'm not quite sure when) I will be putting some of my minis up on Etsy for sale.  I will post when that happens.  Meanwhile, I plan on posting some pix of them on my Ickebits gallery and my Flickr account within the week.  Still need that darn camera- doh!!!
