I'm seeing things...

I think I'm seeing things......things for making miniatures, that is!  Seriously, it seems like everywhere I look I see something I think I could use in miniature...  For example:  Ever pull out the little plastic disc that is inside the top of a medicine bottle?  Spray them with a coat of Krylon for Plastic and they make a pretty good platter, serving tray, or cake stand.  The smooth, shallow metal top from a bottle of energy drink? - another dish, or filpped over for a large tray...

This past weekend I went to the Myrtle Beach, SC area to see my sister.  While there, I went on a mission to find the tiniest seashells possible.  SCORE!  I went to Shell World, where they had a big bin chock full of super-teeniny shells.  Even better, only 99 cents for a shot glass full!  I have something special in mind for these beauties!

Oh yeah, my sister gave me an incredible gift:  an antique miniature basket full of amazingly small dried roses!  The entire thing can sit on a nickel.  (Oh, I just can't wait to post a photo.)  She didn't realize that the basket was not the only present.  Attached to the wrapped gift was the cutest little lacy paper tag that she'd made with her Cricut.  AH-HA!!!!  A lightbulb moment hit me when I realized that it looked like a little doily, or possibly even a perfectly-sized placemat!  Wowies, I called her and she's going to pop some more out for me, too...  Can't beat that!  Thanks, sis!!!

Ooh, I just love to repurpose things, especially when I can use them for my hobby!
